Today, December xx, 2023, saw the ground-breaking ceremony for the very first multi-unit modular construction project of MULTIMODUL, a unique and innovative company formed by the merger of BATITECH + EXPERT MAISON + HMC + MAISONS LAPRISE + PRO-FAB, leaders in the modular construction industry with a combined 150 years of experience.

Located on a site bordering Route 132 and Fraser Avenue, the building will house 24 units ranging in size from 3 ½ to 5 ½ rooms, with a view of the St. Lawrence River for the majority of units.

The ceremony took place in the company of the project’s partners and collaborators, as well as representatives of MULTIMODUL and the consortium’s founding companies.

The work should be completed within 24 hours of the foundations being finished by the general contractor selected for the project, Habitat Construction of Matane.
